A wonderful lodge complete with 3 bedrooms, each with its own full bathroom. Full kitchen with kettle, pots and pans and plates, cups and utensils for all. Also a dining room and family room. Full south-facing decks for both upstairs and down, though some of the toilets would not flush without major encouragement. No Wi-Fi, so bring your own cell service. Verizon worked for us. Fantastic view of the nearby valley. The beds were all very firm, too firm for our comfort. Ice is available from the bar in the main hotel. Wood burning stove in the family room. Bring your own wood. Kitchen faucet seemed about ready to lose its knobs. Dishwasher was nice to have.

Guest reviews
Aherlow House Hotel & Lodges averages 4.3 out of 5 across 777 reviews. A selection, quoted as written:
Room was spotless clean staff more than welcoming very relaxing great views from our room plenty of car parking bar food top quality breakfast let the place down
Disappointing. The terrace, bar and restaurant are potentially stunning, with the view across the valley, but are run down with a 1970s vibe but not in a good way. The trees opposite obscured most of the view and the concrete tiles on the terrace need a makeover and some more tasteful arrangement of plant pots and shrubs. The carpet in the restaurant looked warn and felt a bit sticky. They were not that busy on a bank holiday Sunday evening and yet there were tables not cleared everywhere in the bar area and dozens of dirty glasses on the bar at 21.00. The staff were nice enough but the whole impression was chaotic, as is everyone stated working there last week, nobody got much training…
