A week after the ferocious storm which had been on 25 January we went for a ride out to the coast as it was a very sunny, if slightly cool day. Late afternoon we drove to Ballina and thought we'd eat at the Ballina Manor hotel. What an exquisite place!. Lovely sumptuous carpeting and furnishings with dining tables set alongside windows affording lovely views of the river, bridge and the town. The meal was excellent. Very large portions, served hot and with the steak cooked to our liking. The service was excellent too. We cannot wait to eat there again.

Ballina Manor Hotel averages 4.2 out of 5 across 917 reviews. A selection, quoted as written:
I just love staying at this hotel when I visit from Sydney. My daughter was in a play at Ballina players so the location is excellent. The staff are always friendly, helpful and polite. All the rooms have been gorgeous, very cosy and clean and I love the access to the outdoor balcony setting. Walkable to the shops and Restuarants if needed, highly recommend
Fabulous location sitting right on the river front. Town was lovely, filled with good bars and restaurants. People were very friendly. I'll definitely be back
