Modern hotels can't compete with the rich heritage and deep culture embedded into this unique place Rooms Traditional decor with a view to a kill from my room on the fourth floor. Writing this as I know reviews help when researching accommodation. Genuinely a fantastic hotel - rooms are lovely & have all essentials. Staff are excellent especially breakfast staff and Anne, Breakfast Service Manager- she is so professional , attentive and welcoming, which makes such an impact when on holidays. Had one issue wit a room repair but staff responded immediately. Food great. Thermal spa suite is really nicely designed. Lovely walks around the grounds. Very good value for such a lovely stay. Highly recommend.
This is a gorgeous place! The castle is beautiful, with an interesting history. The grounds are well cared for and SO green! We explored quite a bit and there's a serious of paths in the woods with beautiful views of the lake, and little fairy gardens along the way.The food was good, the service was good, the bed was comfortable. We even went to the bar down in the dungeon and had a fancy drink. It's worth going, if you ever get the chance.
