I had a wonderful three-night stay here. Margaret and Alfie are natural hosts - easy going, delicious home cooking and relaxed evening conversations by the chiminea. It's a lovely house and the countryside around is beautiful. It's a great base from which to explore places of interests, particularly nearby Portumna on the Shannon and the heritage town of Birr. I highly recommend Oldfarm as a place to stay and look forward to making a return there myself.
