This hotel is class. The staff are so friendly. The friendliness is evident from the minute you set foot in reception. This extends into the bar and dining room. There is a lovely atmosphere throughout the hotel. I believe all staff are totally focused on making one's stay in this hotel a fantastic experience.I would have no hesitation in returning here sometime in the future. Full marks to the management of this hotel as they obviously put emphasis on staff training.The food here is also top notch and reasonably priced. The discovery park close by is lovely for a forest walk.

I loved staying at the Avalon hotel whilst in Ireland did the pan Celtic festival. The food was amazing, and the staff were brilliant.The room we stayed in was nice, but in my opinion a little small. The room was still lovely and I thoroughly enjoyed my stay. Thank you so much!
Small boutique hotel. Very reasonably priced. Small menu but good food. Nice clean comfortable rooms. No pool or spa but perfect for our night away. Perfect for our girls' shopping trip in Kilkenny followed by a night of good food and chatting. We had a lovely walk the next morning in Castlecomer Discovery Park next door. Ideal location for a catch-up with Dublin-based friends.
