The rooms were okay they were very small and the beds were very close together. The bathroom was very small(not suitable for larger people). The divider for the shower was small, so water gets everywhere while showering. Service was, for the most part, okay downstairs in the restaurants. The wait time is long, but the service and hospitality were good. Most things are far from the hotel, though.

2 stars- location is EXCELLENT, service is fine but rooms are not great. We had the misfortune of staying here during warm weather- our room was approx. 26 degrees celsius inside at night with window as wide as it could go- impossible to sleep in. No air-flow, no fan. It's not really the fault of a +20/30 year old hotel, but in this day and age, I think some form of interior cooling is needed. The air was dead- hallways dead air, kinda musty...we just couldn't get it cool to any degree. Eventually, the night porter dug up an old desk fan and a bucket of ice for us...and we managed to cool down a bit. Between that and the paper thin walls- you'd better hope for quiet neighbours!
We booked this hotel on Booking.com at 6pm, secured with card. We received confirmation of the booking with a message from the hotel via the app and arrived 1h20 later same day. We were told at reception the hotel was fully booked, there was no room for us despite our reservation. They said our contract was with booking.com, not the hotel, and we could take it up with booking.com. We were asked to cancel the booking on the app - which we did to avoid being charged on the card. Hard not to suspect the hotel booked someone else in our room at a higher rate. In any case a huge waste of our time.
