My family and I spent 2 nights in Pod One in August 2025. The pod was spotless and very well equipped for a family of 4 - fold down (extremely comfy) double bed in main living area, bunk section (a real novelty for the kids), shower room and a kitchen area with fridge, toaster, kettle, utensils and crockery. The high temperatures required use of the provided air con unit and built in fans - very useful! On site parking and unlimited hot water are provided - and a really nice touch was a chilled bottle of Prosecco on arrival and a fire box with wood and s’more making kit for the wood burner. We booked Thornfield not knowing what to expect and we are delighted we did! What a treat!!! Our pod was spotless and everything you could ever need was there in the pod (we will pack lighter the next time!). We added on the fire pit package and it was perfect. Biscuits, mallows, sticks, fire starter, lighter and an endless supply of logs. Sandra was the perfect host and very helpful. Lots of happy memories made. We will definitely be back to stay again.
Really lovely, well maintained pods and grounds. The pods are compact but beautifully designed and the pull out bed was super comfortable. Plenty of hot water and a nice shower too. The hot tub was also a great addition and there was a really relaxed atmosphere. The site gets evening sun and we were there during a mini heatwave so our pod was extremely hot by the time we arrived back (after 7pm) but it does cool down again. We spent a lot of time in nearby Ballycastle which had a lovely beach, good chippy and lots of ice cream shops. The kids had a blast! Thornfield farm was the perfect base to explore the north coast and we'd definitely go back.
