2nd time staying at veriu randwick, this room (1 bedroom suite) is absolutely beautiful, clean and tidy, a home away from home, location is perfect (close to Prince of Wales, Sydney children's and the women's hospitals); coles & woolies within walking distance, variety of options for places to eat. The staff have been lovely to interact with, not nosey or pushy.

Staying due to having surgery and I’m from interstate so wasn’t looking for “high quality” just somewhere quite and comfortable until I could fly home. Reception was accomodating and helpful on check in. Rooms were cleanish. Balcony roof was falling down in more then 10 places so felt quite unsafe being outside. You can hear everyone’s shower running. If you want a hot long shower don’t bother it’ll go cold halfway through. I couldn’t rush as I’m recovering so shivering getting out from freezing cold water isn’t the nicest. The doors are so heavy and hard to open, our lock was quite dodgy. Beds are comfortable. Pays to book an apartment if saying for surgery for more space. The views are…
If I could give zero stars, I absolutely would. This so-called hotel is falsely advertised as a 4-star property on Google, which is incredibly misleading. The building is old and poorly repurposed, with little to no effort made to ensure comfort or cleanliness. Our room was dusty and infested with bed bugs, we saw them crawling on the pillows and blankets. The carpet was extremely worn and smelled mouldy. Most concerning was the door, which was paper-thin and used a flimsy interior-style lock, the kind typically found on bedroom doors inside a house. We felt so unsafe that we had to barricade the door with a table at night just to feel somewhat secure. Do not waste your money here.
