Very cosy hotel in a beautiful setting in the village center. We had a clean, spacious and comfortable room. The staff in the bar/restaurant is friendly and very helpfull. We enjoyed the coffee/tea, and dinner. The continental breakfast facilities are ok. There is a good choice of warm breakfast items. The hotel parking lot is accessible via the right side of the hotel. We enjoyed our stay at Hylands !

Guest reviews
Hylands Burren Hotel averages 4.2 out of 5 across 325 reviews. A selection, quoted as written:
Pros: people were nice, restaurant was decent and they had live music on occasion; beds were comfy and rooms were clean. Cons: This is a much older hotel than the pictures convey, stained and worn carpets, cracks in the bathroom tiles/grout, and the walls are thin, we could hear our neighbors urinate regularly. Be aware that Balleyvaughan is in the middle of nowhere with very little public transport available. But there are some good restaurants: Monks and The Soda Shop in particular.
Such a weird experience staying at this hotel this weekend. The location was great for what we wanted and we enjoyed visiting the pubs of Ballyvaughan and relaxing for the evening. When we got into the room, there was something in the toilet that I couldn't identify and it was gross, but went away with a flush so happy out. We decided to try the hotel for food since we had been to the other restaurants in Ballyvaughan. When we ordered our food, I tried to switch baby potatoes for creamed. Literally told no... so odd when it's such a small thing. When the food came out, they brought my partner the wrong dish and it had to be sent back. I was starving and so my meal was completely done…
