Went for breakfast this morning with my 2 boys. Staff were lovely. Service was excellent. Lovely atmosphere. Place nice and clean. Kids loved the pancakes, maple syrup and bacon. I'd poached eggs made perfectly. All served on warm plates. Lovely hot coffee. Only negative was the orange juice but we'll definitely be back again.

My family had dinner here. Husband and 3 kids. Place is lovely, nice location. We did enjoy the food although we wouldn't return. The waitress we had (tall slim dark hair) didn't seem very happy an didn't seem to like kids. No interaction what so ever. Kids menu is too plain. My older son (12) asked nicely , do you do pizza? Her reply was quite cold considering your speaking to a child. Sorry this place isn't family friendly enough for us.
Stayed there, unfortunately for one night in November 2023. Whatever this was in the past it is now flagrantly flaunting the truth about it being a hotel - it is a sad relic, with a few basement rooms with views of walls and no restaurant. The reception staff would have been better in a gothic horror movie ( right enough it was around Halloween!). On the plus side, the bed was clean and large and the shower excellent but spare yourself the experience.
