The place to the Cliff Walk is the ideal location. The house and the room are very traditional and nothing fancy, but the owner was very friendly and kind. He prepared the Irish breakfast for guests and provided great service. I was going to hike the trail of the Cliff Walk, but my wifi didn't work. He drove me to the tourist office and the train station to find the maps, and also drove me to the start point of the trail. When I was leaving for the Dublin airport, he also arranged a taxi for me. I really enjoyed my stay.

Guest reviews
Gleann Na Smol averages 4.0 out of 5 across 157 reviews. A selection, quoted as written:
Typical Irish B&B within 10 minutes walking distance to Howth Harbor. Although the bedrooms are bit dowdy, the location and price are excellent. Host Sean cooks a magnificent full Irish breakfast.
Booked in for 2 nights, left after one.Every negative review is accurate. Sean is a nice man and to help and make you welcome ,however his facilities are extremely shabby and dated. Bedding and towels should all be replaced as should the bed mattresses. They are all shameful. Photos on the website are very old and therefore deceiving .Zoom in on the TV!! It must be from the last century. We didn’t believe the negative views, however sadly they are accurate. I’m amazed that so many people enjoy this accommodation.
