We had the pleasure of staying at the Rooms at Cunningham’s, and it exceeded all expectations. The bed was incredibly comfortable, and the facilities were top-class. The décor feels freshly done, with a cosy, warm, and very stylish feel; it is clearly well thought out and gives the whole place a welcoming charm. The staff were friendly and attentive, they really helped to make our stay memorable. The location couldn’t be better. One of the best places I have ever stayed at. Very special! The rooms are large, homely, clean and very well decorated. I have stayed here at least 4 times. Honestly, I wasn't expecting much with it being above a pub, but the rooms blew me away. The staff are lovely too. I stayed initially upon a recommendation. So happy that I did. Now, I am disappointed whenever I visit and they are fully booked.
Positives - great food in bar, good location and friendly bar manager. Negatives: 1. Smoke alarm in room was tampered with by previous occupant (dirty old sock covering it and there was a smell of smoke in the room). 2. Litter and scrap around the outside of the building. There was the wheel of a car and an oven tray dumped outside the window. 3. Bed sheets were heavily stained so I’m presuming they were never changed. Mattress topper was disgusting!! 4. Smell of weed outside accommodation, didn’t feel too safe because of this. 5. When I contacted the accommodation manger she didn’t even apologise.
