I just had one of the best customer service experiences of my life at this lovely hotel. Staying here was a last minute decision after spending a horrible night in a nearby hostel that was damp and musty. I was polite and apologetic about leaving, but the proprietor was unacceptably rude and tried to gaslight me about the dampness. I was still mildly traumatized when I checked in to the Riverside. A fellow named Arthur was at the desk and while making conversation, he got the whole story out of me. Not only did he apologize for my trouble, he actually upgraded my room to include breakfast. Really enjoyed my stay at the Riverside Hotel in Sligo! The location is perfect, right by the river and just a short walk to the town centre. The rooms were clean, modern, and very comfortable, with lovely views. Staff were friendly, efficient, and made us feel very welcome. We also had a great meal in the bar, tasty food and a relaxed atmosphere. Excellent value and a great base for exploring Sligo. Would definitely stay here again!
