This is just about the bar food, the rest of the hotel seems to be mothballed. We were in the middle of a long journey so stopped in here with the kids, the food was really, really poor. Full disclosure we did eat most of it because we were starving, but the quality of the ingredients was so bad. Two baby bowls, that was seemed to be just smash and gravy, no veg. 5 year old had goujons and chips. Goujons straight from a freezer, the chips were golden and crispy, but you could taste that the oil they were cooked in was very old. We came here for food and we were very disappointed. I ordered the sea food chowder and it was like a bowl of warm milk with some fish meat in it. Portion sizes were very small for the price we paid. Drinks and atmosphere were great though and staff were very helpful!
