Stayed here for a few days just a little time after the new year with my partner. While we were staying the owners happened to be on annual leave however there was no shortage of excellent service from their son, Andy if I remember correctly. The hotel itself is a lovely little nook tucked away under the ridge of the nearby hill range with a collection of hill walking and and forest hikes. Should you drive yourself there which I would recommend there's just a short trip to nearby Dungarvan for whatever entertainment you have in mind, if you'd prefer to not spend a few quiet days stolen away with whoever you stay with. As for the hotel itself, we really felt like we were staying in a…

We stayed here for a night in late April with friends during a road trip around Ireland. Dave and Mary made us very welcome and lit a lovely fire for us in the bar/restaurant area. The rooms and bathrooms were well appointed and very clean. The food was good and plentiful. Breakfast was excellent. Dave told us that we could go up to the monastery at 8pm to attend the service of Compline and they held dinner for us as we wanted to do that. A unique and well run hotel, in a very rural setting. A most enjoyable experience.

Amazing price, i was a passing cyclist, got a room, didn't get there till after midnight, had no issues getting in or out, for a 2 star hotel it's simply brilliant. This place is very quiet. I would definitely use this hotel again without hesitation. My only issue is they could email over text for confirmation reasons obviously?
