We stayed for one night in the fabulous Foyle hotel and everything about it was 5 star. It was a very inviting hotel, very well presented, very clean and so warm and comfortable. The staff couldn't have done enough for us. The food was out of this world, even for myself with ceoliac disease. The staff were so aware of what my diet entailed and met every requirement that i had. We had fresh iced water delivered to our room and fresh milk when required was just a phone call to reception away. There were beautiful homemade biscuits and chocolates left in our room. Currently sitting in the dining room for our second meal two days in a row. Newly opened hotel and restaurant. Outstanding food. Local flavours, refined and soooooo good. We had the steak, duck, chicken, chowder twice (couldn’t resist) and the cauliflower soup. Of course dessert too. All home made. We loved the brown bread so much that we asked to buy a loaf from the kitchen. Without hesitation our server said “that should not be a problem”. Next thing we knew we had a fresh loaf wrapped up to go. It’s the little things that count in life and this place does it right. Thanks team Foyle!
Fantastic food. Oysters in particular were excellent and chef was accommodating of allergies and prepared them with a different sauce for us. Great selection of wines available, service was 5 stars - servers were extremely helpful and polite. Will absolutely go back if I find myself in this part of the world again.
