Best kept secret in Dublin. Everyone went above and beyond to make the guests in this hotel happy. The rooms were very clean and the food was great. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone heading to Dublin. Close to everything and the Hop on Hop off buses. Coffee bar downstairs and cappuccino machines at the wonderful free breakfast. Eat at Murray’s around the corner. Good pint of Guinness there too.

Guest reviews
Academy Plaza Hotel averages 4.1 out of 5 across 3,622 reviews. A selection, quoted as written:
Room lovely and spacious, but cups small, would have preferred a mug, coffee machine would have been a great addition. Bathroom tight and some mould, towels were very small, and we’re not large people! Great central location. Choice of air con or opening window good. TV not great as flickers all the time on all channels. Body wash in bathroom not hyper allergenic. Staff all lovely, nice coffee shop and bar area.
I'll start with the positives. It was a good location close to many things to do. The coffee shop was excellent and the breakfast was good. However it's a good thing there was coffee downstairs because it's so loud in this hotel that I never slept. Between street noise, people partying, heavy doors slamming at all hours, housekeeping starts at 7, it was very hard to get any rest. Zero of the room doors close quietly and it echos down the hall. It was like being at a motel 6. Lastly, the beds left a lot to be desired. They were hard and the pillows awful. No way is this a 4 star. Holiday inn Express beds are actually comfortable. And why do no Dublin hotels provide sheets or washcloths? The…
