I was concerned about some of the reviews about this Hotel but I am glad to say It has its faults but I was far from disappointed and would definitely visit it again. First of all the staff are first class.They really go out of their way to help you as best they can. I can understand why other reviewers stated they were unhappy with the service but I do not believe it warrants criticism of the Staff. First of all the Hotel undoubtedly is understaffed.Which is a pity. I have noticed that two Staff working after 4pm are expected to cover the Bar, Restaurant and Check In area and they are run off their feet. I'm from Canada and was visiting the Lismore castle area when we decided to stop for dinner at this hotel's restaurant. Note: I did not stay at the hotel itself so this review is solely for the restaurant. The decor was modern and the room was spacious with a bar and many nicely set tables. There was also an outside patio. The place was lovely and so were the staff. We were told it was a carvery so we expected to see a carvery when we entered but it had turned into a sit-down menu instead. We didn't mind this and tried three dishes: the roast of the day, the stuffed chicken fillets, and the tortellini. There were zero complaints about any of the dishes, they were all delicious and tasted…
Recently stayed for double room snd breakfast. Did not sleep one minute due to rattling of old windows throughout a windy night. Breakfast verg nice snd staff also
