The brakes are off and we're back to some form of normalality. Pubs open late so a weekend away in pastures new. The Bridge Inn was a short notice booking but what a pleasant place to stay. Great staff great food ( limited menu but still great.) nice spacious room with a view of the river. Nothing was to much here. If something was missing you only had to ask and it was sorted. Advice to anyone with mobility issues the stairs to the rooms are not what you want. But the public bar was easily accessible.

I and my friend visited the bar for breakfast the staff was very friendly and welcoming. The food was very nice and fast service. When I heard the price I kind of felt as if I had gone back in time lol in other words it's great value. Worth a visit I would personally rather the food, staff and atmosphere of this over Seven Arches bar and bistro.

I recently stayed at Walsh's Bridge Inn in Newport, County Mayo, Ireland. I had a wonderful one-night stay, and I would highly recommend this inn to anyone visiting the area. The staff were incredibly attentive and welcoming. They went out of their way to make me feel comfortable and at home. The room was spotlessly clean and comfortable, and the food in the restaurant was amazing. I especially enjoyed the traditional Irish breakfast, which was served with local sausages, and black pudding. Overall, I had a very positive experience at Walsh's Bridge Inn. I would definitely stay here again if I ever have the opportunity.
