We only had dinner in the newly opened Cellar 45 adjacent to the James Hotel. Very clean and nice atmosphere with excellent service and polite staff. The food was the highlight of the evening: Starter - Halloumi & Beetroot salad - perfectly balanced and a delicious veggie alternative Main Course - The Steak - perfectly cooked and with a selection of sides that was both plentiful and complemented the meat. Dessert - None was had as both the starter and the size of the steak were more than satisfying. Drinks - A good selection of wines, a cocktail menu and draft beers are available. We had a great stay at The James Hotel in Tralee! The hotel was very clean, modern, and centrally located, perfect for exploring the town. The receptionist was exceptionally friendly and helpful. We were walking the Dingle Way and really appreciated the luggage storage service. Breakfast was good overall, though the avocado toast could be improved. Thanks for the warm welcome!
My wife and I stayed here for three nights in July 2025. We were greeted by a very friendly receptionist.The hotel is finished to an extremely high standard and spotlessly clean. Our room was compact and luxurious throughout. The bed was so comfortable with pillows to match. Will definitely be back to enjoy a wonderful time at this excellent hotel.
